Fat loss, Strength Gain, and potential Throwing Challenge - Week 1 Recap

Overall, the first week of the challenge went as good as it could. I had a friend come down to visit me, so my nutrition was slightly off for a couple of days. However, I felt like I was able to manage it pretty well overall. I hit all four days in the gym on top of that, so I am feeling good about everything going forward.

I started off the week with my lowest number (227.8lbs) on the scale and hit my peak of 231.7lbs on the last weigh in. Obviously, I know a lot of that come from eating out while my friend was down here. That being said, I know I didn't gain 4lbs of fat between the start and end of the week. A lot, if not all of this weight, is water weight along with me just eating more food towards the end of the week. This is not something to be worried about, as I want to keep my "diet" as flexible and sustainable as possible. I know if I cut out all "bad" things such as eating out, drinking calories, etc. I will see results. However, I also know that as soon as I add these back in my weight would come back up. Throughout this, I want to eliminate as few things as possible.

At the end of the week, I averaged 229.9 lbs. Hopefully I can continue to progress in the right direction, but it is also important to understand that these numbers are just data. I know that I have a goal weight, but I also know my weight fluctuates a lot. Along with this, I know I have some traveling for work coming up as well as a possible move. The biggest thing is to just keep getting after it each and every day to the best that I can.

Preview to week 2 and beyond - As stated above, I will be traveling this week from Wednesday to Saturday. Once again, I couldn't be less worried about it. I should be able to get my two lifts in while away and might be able to sneak in a walk or two depending on how much time I have. Starting week 3, I am going to evaluate my average weights over the first two weeks and make necessary adjustments. I will not adjust any food or "diet" related things, but I might possibly add in some additional walking just to get my steps up a little more. I will definitely update and provide more insight to my thinking next week.
